This painting was inspired by anscestral stories about Grandfather Spider as a weaver on the dreamtime landscape. Often this archetype is found on people's dreamscape as a holder of fear. I see the Grandfather holding our fear like a ball of yarn until we find the courage to explore the source of our fear and express its truth.
